About Sunny Skies

Hety Skyler, owner of Sunny Skies, moved to the sunny skies of New Mexico with her two original Dalmatians in 1993. Years earlier she founded an executive recruiting firm, Sky Search LLC, that specialized in healthcare IT systems sales and employee benefits for early to mid-stage technology start-ups.

As the recruiting business grew, so did Hety's Dalmatian family that included an honorary Dalmatian, Rose, the little black dog. Hety showed her Dals in obedience and conformation trials and traveled extensively throughout Southwest.

In the 1990s and into the mid 2000s, travel with dogs was easier than it is today. Hotels did not charge extra fees for pets or require their constant supervision when in the room. Relatively speaking, travel with pets was enjoyable!

Times have changed. The original Dal crew is gone, and Hety travels mainly for pleasure with SUNNY, her current furry companion. But even with greater availability of pet-friendly accommodations and pet sitting apps, Hety saw a connection between travel, relocation, corporate recruiting, and HR employee benefit packages – pet sitting offered as an employee benefit. Sunny Skies Employee Benefits was born!

Sunny Skies Employee Benefits offers a cost-effective pet sitting program to employers and travel-related service providers that fosters a culture of appreciation and goodwill. When everyone feels good, that's called warm fuzzies.

Qualifications & Credentials

Sunny Skies Employee Benefits was founded by Hety Skyler to provide a much-needed service and addition to corporate relocation programs and employee benefit plans. Her unique experience was acquired over a lifetime of dog ownership and a career in corporate recruiting.

* Thirty-six years experience in dog ownership and showing dogs in conformation and obedience trials. Cross-country travel with multiple dogs booking into hotels and motels from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to New Mexico, then to Oregon, and back to New Mexico!

* Thirty-seven years of experience as an executive IT recruiter marketing to healthcare and employee benefits information technology companies and management consulting firms

*Thirty-three years of company ownership as President of Sky Search LLC, an executive recruiting firm
